Close Protection

If you're looking to work in Close Protection then this is the course for you, just from this one qualification you will be able to work close as protection operative, as well as many other jobs still within the security industry... like pubs, clubs, security sites, festivals, etc.

It is delivered over 14 days, and Close Protection: In layman’s terms, a Close Protection Officer (often called a bodyguard) is a person involved in high level total security for individuals and property. Close Protection Officers (CPO’s) are trained to protect people such as Heads of State and prominent government officials, to CEO’s, celebrities or even high risk/value areas.

Course content includes; Threat and risk assessments, Walking drills, Embus and debus, Incident management, Legislation relevant to a Close Protection Officer, Operational planning and surveillance.

What do you need to bring to the course:

As per the emailed joining instructions, do not forget to bring 2/3 proofs of ID - which can be either a Passport or Driving licence (if you have both, then you need nothing else).

If you only have either a Passport or Driving licence then you will also need 2 proofs of address to go with it, like a utility bill, bank statement, phone bill or even a letter from job centre/DWP or anything else of a similar official nature

You will also need 1 recent (within the last 5 years) passport sized photo, this is submitted to the awarding body. We also recommend bringing a pencil and a rubber.
