CCTV Operator

If you're looking to work as a CCTV Operator or as a Public Space Surveillance Officer then this is the course for you, from this qualification you will be able to work in all CCTV environments, including local authority or indeed any public and private premises requiring surveillance.

This SIA CCTV Operator training course comprises the theory, legislation and practical operating skills required by those wishing to work in SIA Security related CCTV operations. It also offers progression, from Door Supervisor and Security Guarding and is very popular.

Course content includes; Key purposes of the Private Security Industry, Differences between civil and criminal law, Roles and responsibilities of each member of the CCTV team, Importance of accurate record-keeping, Equipment fault reporting procedures and Actions to take if a suspicious object is found in the CCTV control room.

What do you need to bring to the course:

As per the emailed joining instructions, do not forget to bring 2/3 proofs of ID - which can be either a Passport or Driving licence (if you have both, then you need nothing else).

If you only have either a Passport or Driving licence then you will also need 2 proofs of address to go with it, like a utility bill, bank statement, phone bill or even a letter from job centre/DWP or anything else of a similar official nature

You will also need 1 recent (within the last 5 years) passport sized photo, this is submitted to the awarding body. We also recommend bringing a pencil and a rubber.
