This qualification is designed for those learners working in, or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol. It is a prerequisite for anyone who wishes to hold a personal licence. Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence.
Course content includes; The nature, purpose and period of validity of a personal licence, Application process and legal duties when applying for a personal licence, Legal duties of a personal licence holder, The roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities, Nature and strength of alcohol & the effect on the body and the law in relation to premises licences.

What do you need to bring to the course:
As per the emailed joining instructions, do not forget to bring 2/3 proofs of ID - which can be either a Passport or Driving licence (if you have both, then you need nothing else).
If you only have either a Passport or Driving licence then you will also need 2 proofs of address to go with it, like a utility bill, bank statement, phone bill or even a letter from job centre/DWP or anything else of a similar official nature
You will also need 1 recent (within the last 5 years) passport sized photo, this is submitted to the awarding body. We also recommend bringing a pencil and a rubber.
